WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN HIRING A LOCKSMITH

Good Signs

  • They appear professional, wearing a clean uniform and driving a well-stocked vehicle.
  • They will provide an estimate upfront that doesn't double when you get the bill.
  • They explain what needs to be done in language you can understand.
  • They have the right tools for the job.

Bad Signs

  • They quoted you a price that is unbelievably low ($19.00).
  • The price changes once they arrive because you have "commercial locks."
  • They show up in a personal vehicle.
  • They don't appear to have the right tools.
  • They have to immediately use a drill to open your lock.
